1. Read Mark 7:1-13. What are the Pharisees and scribes unhappy about? What is this rooted in (in other words, what are they afraid of)?
2. Why does Jesus call them hypocrites? How do they leave or reject the commandment of God for the tradition of men?
3. What is the tradition of men? What would be some modern day examples? Is all tradition bad? Why do we tend to think tradition is bad?
4. How can tradition be helpful, to the glory of God? What “traditions” help the church?
